Pokemon HOME Integration added to Pokemon Go, Requires Level 40 November 11, 2020

Niantic and The Pokémon Company have announced that they are finally activating the ability to transfer Pokémon originally captured in Pokémon Go directly into Pokémon HOME! Transferring Pokémon from Go into Home will trigger the opportunity to obtain a Meltan capable of Gigantamax!

You will need to have Pokémon HOME, and sign into the same My Nintendo account that you use for your Nintendo Switch, to have the ability to make a direct transfer.

The catch is, you have to be level 40 to perform a HOME transfer. Personally, I believe the requirements to reach level 40 in Go are artificially high. I’ve been playing the game since it officially launched and I’m still in the level 30 range.

UPDATE: Level 12 players can now use HOME with Go.

Pokémon Go is out now for Android and iOS Smart Devices. Pokémon HOME is out now for Android, iOS and Nintendo Switch.

Titan Books Says Spider-Man Miles Morales Prequel Book is Out, It Really Isn’t November 10, 2020

Just a heads up for people who wanted to learn more about the backstory of the newest Spider-Man video game before the game launches on Thursday. A prequel book, Spider-Man Miles Morales: Wings of Fury, was scheduled to be released today. While it may have been released, and publisher Titan Books is promoting it as released, I cannot find a single retailer or online marketplace that actually confirms they have it. In fact, as of this morning, a cursory glance at every retail establishment within a three-state span listed no stores with stock of the heavily-anticipated book.

I have only seen one actual piece of evidence the book actually exists, and it seems that distribution of the book throughout the UK was successful. I’ve also heard reports it is available digitally on services like Kindle.

So when is the book actually going to be available? Titan Books officially commented on the delay to me, and I’d like to add it here. They stated there were unanticipated delays in shipping the book to retail, but they expect stores will have it by the end of the week. We will keep you posted on any updates from that front. Until then, it doesn’t look like most of us will be able to read the book until after the PlayStation game ships.

UPDATE: Most of the retailers in the tristate area received copies of the book on Friday night, meaning the absolutely soonest people were able to own a copy of a book released on November 10th was November 14th.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is coming November 12th, 2020 to the PS4 and PS5.

You Cannot Use PSVR on PS5 Without an Adapter November 10, 2020

Just a heads up for people like me who love their PSVR and want to continue using it with the Playstation 5. The PlayStation 5, out of the box, can run PSVR software. However, the PS5’s new camera accessory is incompatible with the PSVR’s headset and cannot provide the required motion tracking the headset requires for full VR immersion.

So, if you’re an existing PSVR owner planning to replace their PS4 with a PS5, what do you do? First off, you need to keep your PlayStation 4 Camera, headset, and external box. Then, you must go to this website and order a PS5 camera adapter. The PS5 uses an entirely custom camera port which is different than the camera port used in the PS4, and this adapter is critical for PSVR support on the PS5.

You MUST have your PSVR’s serial number ready when you place the order.

Today is the official launch day of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S game consoles. Sadly, we don’t have one, so we can’t give our thoughts on it as of yet. But here’s a pretty trailer with all the console’s features on it.

The Series S and Series X will play the same games, but the Series S lacks a disc drive and the ability to output video is locked to 1080p. The price is $499 for the Series X and $299 for the Series S.

How to Get Fire TV to Go Straight to Your Cable Box When You Turn it On November 9, 2020

We’ve got an important How-To video up for you guys. If you own a television with integrated Fire TV support, you might have noticed that regardless of what application or input you were watching before turning off the TV, it will automatically boot back to the Amazon Home Screen.

This reboot to home “feature” can be frustrating, particularly if you prefer to watch television channels as soon as you hit the power button on the remote. It also can be frustrating if your television’s remote isn’t compatible with your television provider’s set top box, and you don’t want to have to use multiple remotes just to navigate your tv channels and your apps.

So what can you do? Watch this video and find out.
