Alan Wake Commentary February 21, 2012

With Alan Wake’s American Nightmare releasing tomorrow I planned to have two site videos uploaded to commemorate it.  Alan Wake is one of my favorite games for the Xbox 360 and I’ve done plenty of research about it over the five years of its development.

So, enjoy the first half of the first episode of Alan Wake with commentary by Maniac.  Maybe you’ll hear some behind the scenes information you hadn’t heard before!

Alan Wake is out now for Xbox 360 and PC.  Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is being released tomorrow to the Xbox Live Marketplace.  Another video will be coming, and hopefully will be up before the new game releases.

With a lot of the comments I’ve been getting in my previous How-To videos revolving around people having issues with fraudlent Xbox 360 drives I wanted to help people out by showing what actual Xbox 360 drives look like for both the original model and new slims, and what to look for when buying a new drive.

Please note, buying drives that aren’t made by Microsoft is not a wise move.  Since starting my how-to series I’ve been troubleshooting for many people having a wide range of problems with non-microsoft drives, ranging from the drives not being detected at all by the Xbox 360 to errors and the inability to play backwards compatible Xbox 1 games like Halo 2.

With the first Vita games hitting the market and the Playstation Vita being released within the next few days, I thought it would be nice to talk about the device it’s replacing, the Playstation Portable.  I’ve had one since 2005 (shortly after launch) and a bunch of games for it.  So I talk about some of the games I have, my thoughts on the device, and what I think the Vita’s release means for the Memory Stick Pro Duo.
