In a continuation of the discussion Maniac started earlier in the week, Maniac talks about what the future will bring with the Memory Card. He believes that what will likely be used as a storage method may not be a memory card at all, but something else entirely, and the purpose of the memory card itself may be entirely different than what it is used for now.

Its the return of Mind of Maniac, an unscripted series where Maniac talks about a single gaming topic chosen by himself or commenters. This week Maniac is going to be talking about the history of the Memory Card. I mean everyone has to save their games, right? There have been multiple solutions and workarounds over the years to allow gamers to save their game progress, but Maniac feels there was no better way to store a game save than a Memory Card.
Stay tuned for part 2 where Maniac talks about where he thinks the future of saving your game will go!

It’s Tuesday, time for our Tuesday unboxing! Since Apple has changed their proprietary charging port with the release of the iPhone 5 and recent generation iPads, all of Maniac’s stock iPhone adapters and charge cables were no longer going to work if he chose to upgrade. Instead of buying adapters, Maniac took a leap forward and decided to stream all his content instead of using direct cables, and bought an Apple TV.
The Apple TV retails for $99 US and enables you to stream content from iTunes and various Apple devices directly to your HDTV or Home Theater system. What is included in the box, and is it worth the upgrade? Lets find out!
Oh and if you have an Apple TV and would like to see how to hook it up to your equipment, here’s a handy video for you!
