To a celebrate the upcoming winter holidays, Maniac is announcing that he will be reading selected passages from one of his favorite websites on the Internet, Acts of Gord.

Acts of Gord details the life of The Gord, the owner of a Canadian video game retailer, and the idiots who he would have to deal with while running the store.

Over the next week, leading up to Christmas, a new video will be released every day of some of our favorite stories from the site.

I hope you all enjoy and have a happy and safe holiday season.

Out of all the games in the Kingdom Hearts series, Kingdom Hearts II is my favorite, and today it has gotten a proper HD remaster alongside Birth By Sleep and the cinematics for Re: CODED.

Anyone who preordered the game was entitled to a free upgrade to the game’s Limited Edition, which included an exclusive Disney collectible pin. Is it worth the purchase? Let’s find out what’s in the box.

The podcast returns!  This week, inspired by the amazing work of Bioware and Lucasarts, Maniac produced an unscripted podcast about the Knights of the Old Republic franchise.  This is a franchise many have considered an apology for the prequel trilogy, as the first game in the series alone has been considered by many gamers to be the best Star Wars video game of all time.

Like with most of our podcasts, we’re going to talk about the franchise’s history, our experiences with it, and where we think the franchise is headed next.  Enjoy!

For this episode, Maniac is joined by a special newcomer to the site, Gypsy Jenn.  Neither have ever tasted Game Fuel before, so it will be interesting to see what they think of it.

It’s been ten years since the release of Halo 2 on the original Xbox, and while a lot has changed in his life since that day, Maniac still looks back on it very fondly.

To continue with our celebration of the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Monday night, Maniac created his own retrospective on Halo 2.  He talks about his memories of the game’s E3 showings (which he personally attended), and what it was like standing in line at midnight for one of the first copies of the game.  Enjoy.

How to Update Pokemon X and Pokemon Y November 5, 2014

A few days ago, Nintendo released the 1.3 update for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y and are now requiring that users have it installed before they can make use of the games’ online features.

Updating games on the Nintendo 3DS isn’t exactly a straightforward process like on most other consoles. Game updates typically need to be downloaded from the Nintendo eShop, which requires an Internet connection and the most recent 3DS firmware already installed to access it.

Once you have all that taken care of, watch the video below to see how to update your game.

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y are out now for the Nintendo 3DS.

Just after Halloween, Maniac took a look at the unusually awesome game D4.  An exclusive downloadable title for the Xbox One, D4 puts you into the shoes of a time travelling private detective trying to solve the mystery of his wife’s murder.  That’s really all I’m willing to say, as this game is just crazy!

Gameplay provided with Picture-in-Picture commentary.

D4 is out now exclusively on Xbox One.
