Nintendo Switch 2 – Creator’s Voice May 21, 2025

We are mere weeks away from the release of the Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo has been allowing us to pass the time waiting for the console to come out by highlighting some exclusive developer interviews in a segment they’re calling Creator’s Voice.

The first up I want to highlight is Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition. Nintendo promises that all the enhancements and DLC that were released over the lifespan of the game will be included in the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game….and it looks like we’ll be getting some Joy-Con 2 motion controller for

At E3 2015, Sony and Square Enix blew us all away announcing the game everyone had wanted to play for nearly 9 years, Final Fantasy VII Remake. After being a smash hit on multiple platforms, Nintendo has confirmed they are bringing it to Switch 2!

Finally we want to highlight my favorite new game that launched earlier this year, the cooperative multiplayer masterpiece Split/Fiction. Well, it’s coming to the Nintendo Switch 2, and its director will not mince any words about it!

Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 June 5th, 2025. It is out now for PS4, PS5 and PC.

FBC Firebreak Closed Technical Test Announced May 12, 2025

Remedy Games have just announced that they are holding a closed technical test of their first ever competitive multiplayer online game, FBC: Firebreak! The game takes place in the Control universe, and you play as a cleanup team following the events of the original game.

If you’re interested in playing early, you can sign up for the technical test here. The test is going to be closed and signing up does not guarantee you a spot in the test. The test is expected to run from May 15th to May 19th and gameplay will be cross platform.

FBC Firebreak is coming Summer 2025 to the PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5.

iOS/iPadOS 18.5 Released May 12, 2025

Apple has just released an important update for literally every device they still support earlier tonight. The new update, 18.5 on the iPhone and iPad, includes important bug fixes and improvements. Depending on your device, it could range between 775MB-1.5GB.

Apple has also released updates for Apple Watch, Mac, Apple TV, and Vision Pro as well.

Nintendo Releases Update for Switch That Adds Data Transfer to Switch 2 April 30, 2025

Nintendo Switch owners lucky enough to get their hands on a preorder for a Switch 2 should power on their OG consoles right now because Nintendo has just released a free update for them. The new system software, version 20.0, adds a bunch of new features but in our opinion the most important new feature is the ability to transfer your Switch’s internal save data to a brand-new Switch 2.

Nintendo is currently offering two methods of performing a Switch to Switch 2 transfer through their new feature. The first would be to do a direct Switch to Switch 2 transfer, the other is to tell your Switch to save all your data to their cloud service for later retrieval on the Switch 2. This second option would be useful for gamers who plan to sell or trade their Nintendo Switch before getting their hands on the new Switch 2. In both cases this process is irreversible, and once concluded your original Switch will reset to factory settings.

This is a much welcome feature, and I’m happy Nintendo is offering it to gamers. While Nintendo has offered system transfer options in the past, including from Wii to Wii U, as well as DSi to 3DS, their offerings for Switch to Switch transfer has been disappointing. It is nice to see this added at the right time so we can be ready for when the new console launches.

Ghost Town Launches on Meta Quest April 25, 2025

Since the release of Lovesick, Ghost Town has been one of my most anticipated VR exclusive games. Set in Great Britian during the 80s, you play as a modern-day witch tasked with investigating supernatural crimes. Here’s the launch trailer:

The Story of Fatal Fury April 21, 2025

We are days away from the release of my most anticipated new fighting game, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Not a lot of you may be familiar with this franchise, as the first games released back in its earliest days required the power of the Neo Geo arcade platform to fully enjoy, but this fighting game has a strong story canon.

Yesterday, as part of a major marketing push which included a preview of the game at WRESTLEMANIA 41, SNK has released this important video on the game’s current backstory! It’s a great refresher for returning players as well as a good introduction to new ones! Check it out!

iOS/iPadOS 18.4.1 Released April 16, 2025

Apple has just released a minor but important update for all iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV devices this evening. The new update includes an important CarPlay fix for iPhone, as well as some nondescript patches and improvements for all other affected devices.

The new update, depending on your device, could weigh in between 250-550MB. At the time of writing, there does not appear to be an Apple Watch update. We have not tested if Vision Pro has gotten an update or not.

Nintendo Switch 2 – Treehouse Live Day 2 April 4, 2025

The second and final day of Nintendo’s Treehouse Live event is broadcasting right now. Today, they’re showcasing a bunch of more games coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 including third-party titles such as the HD Remaster of the 3DS classic Bravely Default. Nintendo Switch 2 Treehouse Live – Day 1 April 3, 2025

Nintendo may have given the first major preview for the Nintendo Switch 2 yesterday, but for the next two days, they’re going to be going IN DEPTH with actual gameplay for some of the most anticipated games coming to the Switch 2 platform. Previews have already begun for games such as Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong and Metroid Prime 4!
