Sony Will Continue Running Playstation Store for PS3 and PS Vita April 19, 2021

Huge announcement today! Sony has decided to reverse course following the extremely negative feedback from their announcement to cease operation on the PS3, PSP and PS Vita digital marketplaces. This would’ve meant hundreds of digital games (including my favorite PS3 digital game, rain) would cease to be accessible following the digital marketplace shutdown.
Today, I’m happy to announce Sony has changed their mind. The PS3 and PS Vita digital marketplace will continue on past Sony’s sunset date. That means you can continue to buy and download everything on those consoles. Personally, I was considering picking up a game or two…I guess I’ll be able to do that now.
Sadly, the PSP marketplace will shut down as planned. My favorite PSP game, Infected by Planet Moon Studios, was never released digitally so I’m kind of torn on this announcement.
