Nintendo just released this video showcasing some of the newest third-party and independent titles that are coming to the Nintendo Switch platform. As of late, the Switch has been a great platform for independent games, given its portability and lower cost of ownership. I have to say I’m really curious to see what is coming next. Let’s take a look.
All games shown are coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Pokemon Go Fest 2022 Announced April 28, 2022

To mark the first year of Pokémon Go’s release, the game’s developers held a community event to celebrate the game and get players from all over the world to collaborate. Due to the fact the game was extremely popular, the developers discovered hosting the event at a physical in-person venue would have a tendency to overwhelm an area’s ability to even use cell phones. However, over the past two years, Niantic has hosted an (in my opinion) incredibly successful virtual event where players can participate in Go Fest from anywhere in the world! This year, that tradition continues.
Niantic has announced that the 2022 Pokémon Go will take place the weekend of June 4th and June 5th. There will also be a post-event event in August which will be included with the price of the ticket . The mythical Pokémon Shaymin is expected to make an in-game appearance. Tickets are currently on sale through your device’s in-game store for a price of $14.99 US. Like with previous events, purchasing with pokecoins will not be accepted.
For me, the best part of these past few Pokémon Go Fests have been the opportunity for me to play with my friends without having to endure expensive travel. I also appreciated all of the unique goodies, live streams and DIY content that had been offered during the events. Hopefully, that tradition will continue!
Pokémon Go is out now for supported Android and iOS devices.

If you asked me, there was no competitive multiplayer online game that was more fun over the past six years then Splatoon. Originally released on the Wii U (with a sequel that released on the Nintendo Switch) the game series puts you in the sneakers of a team who’s goal is to spread their ink…everywhere!
Now, a third game is coming in this personally beloved series and Nintendo has just released this preview of an actual multiplayer game. Let’s take a look!
Splatoon 3 is coming September 9th, 2022 to Nintendo Switch.

Halo Cookbook Coming April 7, 2022

Since a turkey dinner found on the floor was included as a health power up, gaming has had a long history featuring food. When I was a teenager, I used to frequent websites like the Gaming Gourmet, which tried to replicate the food found in popular games and provide real-world recipes for them. Sadly, many of those sites are now defunct. However, if you haven’t noticed, there has been an influx of gaming-themed cookbooks. This week, 343 Industries announced they will be publishing their own official Halo Cookbook! To celebrate, here’s a look at Halo: Infinite’s opening cinematic.
Am I the only person who thinks these recipes should be used for a future Outpost Discovery? Regardless, now we can finally learn how to make the MOA Burger! The cookbook is expected to release August 2022. Bring it on!
If you want to learn more about what kind of gaming cookbooks are out there and what recipes you can find in them, check out the reviews by the Youtube channel MisoHungrie.
