The Duke Nukem Forever Demo Has Been Released June 3, 2011

Oh by the way, the Duke Nukem Forever demo has been out for about 18 minutes now since the time of writing this…

First Access Club members, if you got an e-mail notification about it or not, should be able to log into the official page (which is quite busy right now) to access the download code for their respective platforms.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Collector’s Edition Announced June 3, 2011

The Playstation.Blog has confirmed that there will be a Collector’s Edition for the highly anticipated Playstation 3 exclusive, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.

The collector’s edition will come with a lot of physical content, including a steelbook case for the game, a Nathan Drake statue by Sideshow Collectables, a replica of Nathan Drake’s ring (which was inherited to him from his ancestor, Sir Francis Drake, or so he says), a replica of his belt buckle, all packed in a functional traveling chest.

No price has been listed for the Collector’s Edition yet.

People who preorder the game at various retailers will each get exclusive content to download, but (thankfully) not in the form of exclusive DLC but instead in early access to in-game abilities, which if you don’t get them on the day of release, you will be able to get while climbing rank in multiplayer games.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is coming November 1st, 2011 exclusive to the Playstation 3.

The Darkness II E3 2011 Trailer June 3, 2011

E3 is still a few days away but 2K Games has already released the official E3 trailer for The Darkness II and it is the first video with in-game footage released for this game.

If I see anything at E3 for this game I’ll be sure to report on that for you guys.

The Darkness II is coming to PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 4th, 2011.

Duke Nukem Forever Launch Trailer June 2, 2011

Does anyone else not believe this is happening?  Duke Nukem Forever is about two weeks away from release, and here is its official launch trailer.

Duke Nukem Forever will release June 14th, 2011 for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

inFamous 2 Demo is Out June 2, 2011

Interested in playing some inFamous 2 before the game comes out?  Well, now that the Playstation Network Store has been turned back on, a lot of gamers have been greeted with the pleasant sight of the inFamous 2 demo, eagerly waiting to be downloaded.

The demo promises to show off some of the single player campaign.  I haven’t had the chance to play it yet since the download is over 2.5 GB (it’s slow going) but I’ll try to report or tweet back about it once I get my hands on it.  I tried getting this last night after the Playstation Network came back online, but after I freed up some space, I got a lot of connection errors and could no longer access the store, so I had to download it today when the store became more stable.

inFamous 2 is coming June 7th, 2011 exclusive to the Playstation 3.  Getting a new copy of it can get you a slot in the Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Beta.

First Duke Nukem Forever DLC Will Be Free to First Access Club Members June 2, 2011

The First Access Club gets yet another surprise benefit announced tonight.

Anyone who pre-ordered Duke Nukem Forever or bought the Borderlands Game of the Year Edition has access to the First Access Club, which promises to give it’s users the first access to the Duke Nukem Forever demo, which is coming on June 3rd.

Well chock up another perk. All members as of tonight are guaranteed free downloads of the very first DLC pack for Duke Nukem Forever which promises to release very close to the game. Platform is dependent on what platform you wanted for the demo, PC should be default option.

Duke Nukem Forever will release June 14th, 2011 for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

PSN Going Down Today for Maintenance June 1, 2011

I know that given recent events a lot of people are going to see the “Playstation Network is down for maintenance” error code when logging in and think the service has been brought down again by hackers.  This is not the case, well at least, not the case today.

The PSN service will be closed for a few hours today for scheduled maintenance.  Likely this is so they can bring the Playstation Store back online.  The sooner that comes back the sooner users can download the free games promised to them.

No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise Release Date May 31, 2011

As I’ve said in a recent site video, No More Heroes is my favorite Wii property, and for a while that’s the exclusive platform the game series has been delegated to.  Last year, the game was re-released in Japan for the next generation consoles with HD graphics and new options, but the US publisher of No More Heroes had no interest in releasing those games in the US.

This year, it was announced that Konami was going to release an updated HD version of No More Heroes in the US exclusive for the Playstation 3.  The reason it would be exclusive to the PS3 in the US was because they were planning to take full advantage of the Playstation Move controller, which is a pretty close control scheme to the Wiimote.

No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise is coming to the US August 16th, 2011 exclusive to the PS3.  Enjoy this HD trailer!

Uncharted 3 Beta Details Revealed May 31, 2011

Uncharted 3’s Beta is going to be swinging into full gear pretty soon, and the details of it has finally been revealed to the public.

It’s important to note that there are going to be a few ways to get your hands on some Uncharted 3 beta keys. There are two primary ways to get a beta key, if you do or plan to do either of these things you’re totally going to be covered.

Playstation Plus users are going to receive beta codes in their e-mail, and will be able to start playing the beta that way. The other way to get in is to buy the game inFamous 2, which is coming out on June 7th, and you’ll have voucher codes included in the game packaging. According to the FAQ, if you get access to the beta through either of these means, you’ll be able to access the Uncharted 3 Beta on June 28th.

Other people are going to get access to the beta on July 4th, and the beta will end for everyone on July 13th, 2011. The beta will give you access to plenty of customizable options as you level your character up. The maximum level cap is 25, and you’ll have access to several game maps and mods. Just like in Uncharted 2, there will be booster slots, which will grant your characters enhanced abilities as you level up.

Beta players will only have access to a Nathan Drake multiplayer skin on the hero side, or a generic Pirate skin for the villain side, but rest assured that the character skins will be fully customizable with options like hats.

Gears of War 3 Complete Story Trailer May 28, 2011

Some of you sat through a completely pointless sporting event you had no interest in just to watch this. This is for those of you who didn’t want to. Hey Tony? Are you still up in the booth? Yeah, queue the Black Sabbath music.

The pieces of the plotline are slowly starting to come together. From the looks of it, Adam Fenix will make his glorious return just as humanity is on the brink of the last offensive against the Locust. And they’re not going to die easy.

Gears of War 3 is coming worldwide September 20th, 2011 exclusive to the Xbox 360.
