inFAMOUS Second Son Release Date November 15, 2013

Last night at the PS4 launch saw a huge reveal from Sony owned development studio Sucker Punch Productions.  Their latest game, inFAMOUS Second Son, is the highest on my list of PS4 exclusive priorities.  Having been a huge fan of the inFAMOUS games up to this point, I can’t say how excited I am to see just what the power of the PS4 can bring to this open world urban super hero sandbox game.  But more than just wow players with all the newest powers the game’s hero will have, the trailer’s ending did reveal the game’s release date.

inFAMOUS Second Son is coming March 21st, 2014 exclusive to the Playstation 4.  There will be exclusive downloadable content for anyone who preorders the game at a participating retailer.

UNCHARTED PS4 Announced November 15, 2013

During the PS4 launch last night, Naughty Dog revealed their first PS4 exclusive title, and it could not have been more welcome.  It looks like their PS3 staple franchise will be making the leap to the next generation console.  Take a look at the reveal trailer.

Naughty Dog sadly would not confirm anything about the new game, including if series protagonist Nathan Drake would be returning or if the game would be a remake instead of a sequel.  However, they did say there were a lot of tidbits about the game in the new trailer, so be sure to put it up to as much scrutiny as you can.  If you ask me the most interesting bit about the trailer is that it is not being narrated by the voice of Nathan Drake, but for all we know the new game’s villain could be the person who is speaking.

UNCHARTED is coming exclusive to the Playstation 4.

The Last of Us Left Behind DLC Announcement Trailer November 15, 2013

While last night was clearly the PS4’s night to shine, Naughty Dog did kick the night off with a reveal of the first story based DLC expansion for their hit game The Last of Us.  Without trying to spoil too much for those of you who haven’t played the game, it looks like this downloadable content will be a prequel to the game’s story and Naughty Dog has confirmed you will play as Ellie.  Take a look for yourselves.

The Last of Us: Left Behind will be released Spring 2014.  A full version of The Last of Us will be required to play.  The Last of Us is out now exclusive to the PS3.

iOS 7.0.4 Released November 14, 2013

Apple has just released the latest point revision to iOS 7 in the form of iOS 7.0.4 to all iOS 7 compliant iDevices including the iPhone and iPad.  The list of devices that it is compatible with is far too great for me to repost here, needless to say you can just run the Software Update function on your iDevice to determine if you need the update.

The update corrects issues with FaceTime calls being dropped on some devices.  It can be downloaded right now through iTunes or your iDevice’s Software Update feature.

Nintendo Direct 11/13/2013 November 14, 2013

Every once in a while, Nintendo releases a Nintendo Direct, which details all the new games and updates that are coming their respective platforms.  In this newest installment, we get the latest look at the 3DS exclusive Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, but the best part is we get our first look at the new Miiverse application for the 3DS.  Without further ado, here’s Reggie Fils-Amie with Nintendo to talk about what is coming up for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS systems.

Playstation App Released November 13, 2013

Just in time for the release of the Playstation 4, Sony has released the official Playstation Network App for iPhone and Android devices for free.  The Playstation App allows you to manage your Playstation Network account, check your Trophy Progress, and make use of the Playstation 4’s Second Screen capabilities!

I have to say I’m really happy about this release.  The last I heard was this program was supposed to launch on or around November 22nd, which is a week after the PS4 launch, so I wasn’t expecting it for a few days.  Looks like Sony stepped up the app’s release.

Don’t worry you won’t need a Playstation 4 to make this app work, the app will work fine with any Playstation Network account.  It is compatible with any Android or iOS device, and you can download it by searching for “Playstation App” in your respective software download store.  If you wish to make use of the PS4’s Second Screen capabilities, you will need to download the PS4’s Day One firmware patch.  There has been no word if the app will be coming to Windows Phone.

Dead Rising 3 – Find Your Path to the After Party November 12, 2013

The guys over at Microsoft made a fun little social game over at YouTube to promote the release of Dead Rising 3.  Here, I’ll let the trailer speak for itself.

You can click here and check out the game for yourself.  The game’s objective is to clear as many of the areas as possible, by making one of two possible decisions on strategy.  While the game is pretty simple in its gameplay, seeing the decisions you make in the game bring up some pretty awesome Dead Rising 3 gameplay clips I haven’t seen elsewhere.  If you really had to see for yourself just what was possible in the game, play Find Your Path to the After Party and find out.

Dead Rising 3 is coming November 22nd, 2013 exclusive to the Xbox One.

Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds TV Spot November 12, 2013

I’ve always thought highly of Nintendo’s TV commercials over the years and from the looks of it they’ve just released another gem.  Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is the 3DS sequel to the Super Nintendo classic A Link to the Past, considered by many to be one of the finest games ever made.  A few of you may have caught a commercial for it playing on your local TV stations, and now Nintendo has just released the complete uncut version of that TV Spot.  Take a look.

Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is coming November 22nd, 2013 to the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS.
