The guys over at Sony have always produced incredible Making Of Documentaries about the production of each of the God of War games. Typically, these documentaries are included on the game discs, but this one is several years in the making. Today, they’re releasing the documentary about the making of God of War on the PS4. It’s called Raising Kratos and it follows the journey of Sony Santa Monica Studios and what it took to make this completely new God of War game on unfamiliar hardware in an all-new development studio.
I won’t spoil anything but this video has ups and downs. At some points you will cheer, at some points you will cry and others…well you’ll find out for yourselves.
God of War is out now exclusively for the PS4.

Back at E3 2015, Square announced they were remaking the beloved Final Fantasy VII for the PS4. Other than a follow up trailer which was released shortly after that, we haven’t seen a thing about the game. There were musings the project had gone through a restart with a different development studio, but we hadn’t seen anything from the project after that. It has been an epically long wait…until today. Enjoy!
More is coming in June!
Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming to the PC and PS4.

Reminder: Free Comic Book Day 2019 Tomorrow May 3, 2019

Tomorrow marks more than national Star Wars Day, it is the first Saturday in May and that traditionally means tomorrow is Free Comic Book Day! I know what you’re thinking, why is this video game site talking about comic books? Well, in many cases some incredible video games have been released that were originally based on properties that were created for comic books, and in other cases some video games have been adapted to comic books.
Free Comic Book Day is a special event where a select group of specially marked comic books will be offered for free to anyone who shops at participating comic book stores. The idea is for people to find these local stores, pick up a free book or two and be exposed to thousands of other stories at their fingertips.
Fifty-one specially marked books will be participating this year. Here’s a handy video about each book that is being offered!
To find a full list of participating stores and to discover the closest one to you, check out their official list. A Pokémon, a Minecraft and a Street Fighter comic will be participating this year!

Pokemon Pass App Released May 1, 2019

The Pokémon Company has just released a new smartphone application to take advantage of new types of upcoming promotions for the Pokémon franchise, Pokémon Pass.
Pokémon Pass is designed to give rewards for participating in scheduled promotional events. You can earn anything from in-game Mystery Prizes that can be used in either of the Pokémon Let’s Go games on the Nintendo Switch to AR stickers that can be used on your smart device.
To use the Pokémon Pass application you’ll need an online Pokémon Trainer account (which you can get for free by signing up at pokemon.com). You will need to grant the application access to your GPS and Camera to redeem specific rewards.
The first major Pokémon Pass rewards will be coming on May 11th, where Target stores across the US will partner with Pokémon Pass to offer a Shiny Pikachu in Pokémon: Let’s Go Eevee or a Shiny Eevee in Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu on the Nintendo Switch. You’ll need to find a special in-store display and snap a pic of the display’s QR code to earn your reward.
Something tells me that this application was designed to help people who have been incredibly lost whenever Target held Pokémon promotional events in the past. The store is big and there’s just no way to know where to go to obtain a promotional item, and most of the clerks who work there have no idea what you’re talking about when you inquire about them. This should help cut out the hassle and still provide a fun experience.
Pokémon Pass is free to download right now on the Android and iOS Devices.
