Final Fantasy VII: Remake Intergrade Demo Released for Switch 2 and Xbox Series December 17, 2025

Square Enix has released a free demo of Final Fantasy VII: Remake Intergrade (featuring the iconic Mako Reactor attack) on Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. The demo includes the ability to save your progress and you will be able to transfer it to the full version of the game when it releases early next year.

If you’ve been on the fence to see just how well the game plays on the Switch 2, this demo is now the perfect benchmark! We played it yesterday and can affirm the game’s visuals look incredible and performance is stable throughout the demo.

Final Fantasy VII: Remake Intergrade is out now for PS5. It is coming January 22, 2026 to Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S.
