In 2005 I was a staff writer for one of the biggest Max Payne fansites on the web at the time. Following the release of Max Payne 2, fans of the company responsible for making it, Remedy Games, were heavily anticipating the studio’s next title, whatever it happened to be. At E3 2005, we found out it would be a game called Alan Wake. Five years later, Alan Wake would get released and while it isn’t as well known a game as Halo or Metal Gear Solid, it is a beloved game by the fans who have been lucky enough to play it.
Earlier today Alan Wake’s lead writer, the legendary Sam Lake, announced Alan Wake is being remastered for current and next-generation consoles. Details are currently scarce but Remedy says they intend to keep the original art style and atmosphere intact.
Alan Wake Remastered is coming Fall 2021 to Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC through Epic Games Store..
Japan Travel Tips – How Japan Has Been Affected by the Pandemic September 7, 2021

I know we haven’t done one of these in a while but it’s Tuesday and that means its time for a new Japan Travel Tips. In this series, I share out some of the best independently produced travelogs I’ve found from all over the web that can assist tourists from all over the world who are interested in visiting Japan.
When we first started Japan Travel Tips, it was to share what we had discovered about a country I badly wanted to visit. Of course, we started the series during a time when the whole world was literally forced to stay home due to a global pandemic, and unfortunately the videos I showcased up to that point did not reference that fact. I’m sure it was because the videos and tips we highlighted were produced before the pandemic, and due to international lockdowns, I’ll bet producing new video content was difficult.
Ellie, a new host at the YouTube Channel Only In Japan, has their full report on what Japan is like right now, not just for tourists but the country’s citizens.
Another concern I’ve been dealing with over the past few months is many of the businesses, venues and shops we’ve highlighted may be facing closure. Hopefully more content will be produced within the next year to keep us updated on the country’s progress.

Six months and five episodes after it began, Paul Morgan Stetler, who played the lead role of Curtis Craig in the classic PC horror game Phantasmagoria 2: A Puzzle of Flesh, gives an update on his documentary series about the people who worked on the game, Conversations with Curtis. Let’s give it a watch.
You can donate to Conversations With Curtis on Patreon. Four more episodes for this year, with at least three confirmed guests for each episode, including the game’s director, editor and writer! I can’t wait.
Phantasmagoria 2: A Puzzle of Flesh is out now for PC.
