There’s no game on the upcoming release schedule that I’m looking forward to playing more than Quantum Break. Quantum Break is more than just a game, it’s also a fully produced four episode live-action television series that will be fully integrated into the game’s story.  Today, Microsoft released a new trailer for the game, focusing on that series and the villains we will be facing.  Enjoy.

Toys R Us Hosting Another Pokémon Day April 2nd March 28, 2016

Back in February, Toys R Us retail stores across the US hosted a special Pokémon-themed event for their customers to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of Pokémon’s release. Having personally attended the event at my local retailer, I can say it was just great.  The store gave away two special promotional TCG cards, a high-quality poster and an activity book to everyone who attended. While I assumed that would be the only Pokémon event Toys R Us would be hosting for quite some time, a glance at the back page of the free activity book spoke a different story, Toys R Us will be hosting another Pokémon event on April 2nd, 2016 and today we have the final details about it.

The Official Pokemon Website has just published their announcement of the event and the details on what will be happening this Saturday.  They plan to give out two new promotional TCG cards (different from the ones they previously handed out in February) and a new activity book for starters. They’ll also have a sale on select Pokémon themed merchandise. You can read all of the official details here.

We’re going to try covering the event when it happens, so keep an eye on this website and our Twitter feed for more details.

Metal of Honor: Pacific Assault Free on PC Through Origin On The House March 24, 2016

EA’s Origin online game distribution service frequently offers classic games from EA’s back catalog free of charge. Today, Origin is offering the PC game Metal of Honor: Pacific Assault free of charge through Origin On The House and you can download and play it right now.

You will need the Origin client and an Origin account to download the game, but both can be obtained free of charge.  As with all games offered through On The House, as long as they’re downloaded before the free promotional period concludes, they can always be redownloaded, even if the game is deleted after the free promotion ends.

It’s never clear how long a game will stay free on Origin so take my advice, “Get to downloading!”

Apple just has released an important software update to their catalog of personal handheld devices. The new operating system, iOS 9.3 adds a ton of new security updates to iPhone and iPad devices and a heavily requested new feature called Night Mode.

Do not perform this software update if you cannot remember your iTunes account information.  Some devices are requiring that information be reverified after the software update concludes.

It’s unclear how many Apple devices support iOS 9.3 but it’s a good bet if your hardware can run iOS 9, you can perform the update to iOS 9.3. If you previously had the most recent version of iOS 9 installed, the update’s download will likely range between 200-300MB.  It can be downloaded and installed through a WiFi connection or by connecting your device to a computer with a recent version of iTunes installed.
