Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Special Unlockables January 29, 2013

A few weeks ago we got a taste of the new gameplay capabilites in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and Konami teased that players would be able to unlock new armor and weapons in the game’s menu. This could change Raiden’s appearance for the funny or allow players to customize their gameplay styles.
Well, Konami has greatly expanded on that in these new trailers they released today. If you’re in the States and ordered the game from Amazon.com, this is the special Inferno Armor you’ll be getting with your armor.
If you preordered the game at GameStop, you’ll not only be getting a special 25 page book featuring the artwork of Yoji Shinkwa, you’ll also be getting the special Cyborg Ninja Armor and FOX blade.
I’ve heard people also call this the Gray Fox skin. I’m pretty sure that Cyborg Ninja is the offical term for this in the States, and I’m pretty sure they are the same thing. Gray Fox was the original Cyborg Ninja in Metal Gear Solid, and let me tell you, how much my friends and I would talk during lunch how much we wished we could play the entire original game with the Cyborg Ninja’s armor. Sadly, that wasn’t possible in the original version of the game, but we would get a small taste of it in the MGS: VR Missions disc. This may be a US only promotion, as I have also heard that UK players will get the Cyborg Ninja Armor included with their game without the need of a seperate download.
Don’t worry there’s going to be a lot of other armor and weapons you will be able to unlock in the game for those who didn’t preorder. First up, here’s a trailer that shows some special swords that Raiden will be able to swing around. And remember guys, in this game you can cut almost anything.
Well, with all this specialized armor and weapons, Raiden is going to need to have one heck of a tough enemy to merit all this, and this next trailer details the cyborg troops that Raiden will face.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is coming February 19th, 2013 to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
