The Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance demo has been released for free on the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 and you can download it right now. Previously, this demo had only been released with the Zone of the Enders HD Collection in November, but now everyone can enjoy it, including people who don’t want to load up their ZOE: HD discs to play the demo.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is a spinoff from the Metal Gear Solid series and follows the character of Raiden after the events of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Cyborg augmentation has become the newest commodity for Private Military Companies and Raiden has taken it upon himself to make those upgrades to his body in order to compete in this new world order. It is developed by Platinum Games, the makers of Bayonetta, and produced by Konami.
As of the time of writing, the demo was listed on the front page of the Xbox 360 dashboard upon Xbox Live login. I had to do a bit of a search for it on the PS3 store, but that was probably because I’m still not used to the new Playstation Network Store interface. Regardless, it can be found no problem with a manual search of the game’s name. For those of you who may have a lack of storage space on your consoles, here’s a heads up. The demo is 3.4 GB on the PS3. It is 1.86GB on the Xbox 360.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is coming February 19th, 2013 to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
