Aliens: Colonial Marines Release Date May 22, 2012

It’s been made official, well, official again.  Gearbox Software has confirmed the final release date for the highly anticipated multiplatform game, Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Based on the highly popular science-fiction franchise, the game is a canonical sequel to the movie Aliens, which was released in 1986 and was directed by James Cameron.  The new game follows the Marines squad that goes back to LV-426 in the aftermath of the movie, and finds things are not exactly what they expected.

Aliens: Colonial Marines is coming February 12th, 2013 to the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.  A Wii U version of the game has also been confirmed by Gearbox and Nintendo but no mention of that was made with the announcement.
