Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn Live-Action Teaser July 2, 2012

As previously announced, there is going to be a live-action prequel series in anticipation for Halo 4′s release in November, 2012.  And now, Microsoft has just released the first trailer for that series, called Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn.

The full trailer for the series will be released during the San Diego Comic Con between July 12th to July 15th.

The first episode of Forward Unto Dawn will release in October, 2012 through Machinima Prime and Halo Waypoint.  A Director’s Cut of the series will be included with the Halo 4 Legendary Edition.

This isn’t the first time a live-action Halo series has been produced, but this is probably the most ambitious one that Microsoft has done.  Microsoft had previously released a three-part series which was edited into a short film for Halo 3′s launch, called Halo: Landfall, which was produced by Peter Jackson and directed by Neill Blomkamp.

Halo 4 is coming November 6th, 2012 exclusive to the Xbox 360.
